Hello! Getting started is the most difficult part because that first model is taking a leap of faith to shoot with you. Early on I reached out to models to shoot, and still do, but now a days a lot of time its more collaborative by networking in social networking sites.
Also yes, film is quite expensive and does put a fairly large dent in my pocket every shoot.
