The lovely Verronica Divine ever so gently de-virginized our new place with our first official shoot in our new apartment. Get ready to see lots more of it and lots more of her.

I’ve never liked the term “muse” because it feels so disingenuous or one sided to me. Its too often the false flattery an artist throws at a collaborator. I’m inspired by the people around me, and my love Julie most of all. People have called her my muse, and it’s always rang a bit falsely in my mind because neither in the current meaning of the word, person who seems to inspire work, or the Greek version, a diety that knows all and actively pushes you to create art, quite fits. Julie is my partner. The vast majority of our relationship is unphotographable and consequently it appears her role is inactive; but she is the other half of my mind. The counter weight to straighten out my mind when a good idea goes too far and becomes a bad one. She’s the push when I feel like nothing is going the way I want and I need a kick in the pants. She’s half of my mind and all of my love. The idea of a person that inspires you to create art is too fleeting. She’s not my current inspiration, or new obsessions. She’s my lady. My love. My partner.
