06.08.14 Somewhere above Someplace else.
Living life is struggling with the potential of youth and the pragmatism of adulthood; all the while striving to live as though the later didn’t make the decisions.
There is very little lasting happiness that comes from true pragmatism. Happiness comes from feeling like what you’re doing means something.
We all want to “push the needle.” We want to mean something. We need to mean something to those we care about. We need to mean something to the world. We hope our actions put up a body of work to which the world reflects value, love and appreciation.
I think more than money. More than power. More than sex, people want to be truely appreciated and understood.
To stand up next to all the greatness of life around us and be rendered insignificant is worst of all fates. We want to touch the world and feel as though we left something, be it a fingerprint or a crater.

They say it takes 10,000 hours to master anything. How many hours a day are you sending on what you love?

“When I say artist I mean the one who is building things … some with a brush – some with a shovel – some choose a pen.” We prefer a gag and a couple cameras. (Quote by Jackson Pollock)
