Thanks for the follow, You are one of my favorite Photographers. This Means The world to me, Thank you again.

Of course! I love seeing new photographers because the interesting ones already have a look to their stuff; which you do. Im excited to see more and where it goes.

Im honored I’m one of your favorites. I really love shooting and its truly fantastic when people connect with it. So thank you so much.

I read your post about needing a DSLR. I shoot mainly inexpensive Lomography cameras and instax, which you’re already using. Theres plenty of fun stuff to do with that until you get a DSLR. To me a lot of the fun of photography comes from stripping it down.

During a photo session do you tend to have an upbeat playlist of music that you listen to or do you prefer no music at all ? If so what kind of songs do you usually include .

If I am able to have music playing then I always do. Music helps keep the energy up. Alysha and I share a mutual love of Ke$ha so when we shot at my place we listened to that. I like listing to oldies too. Otis Redding is great to shoot to. Lots of times I pick music based off the feeling I want in the photos. I also tend to pick what I know the model likes, or see if they have a playlist they like to get ready to. Most girls have a “getting ready to go out” playlist which is usually perfect.

Do you really shoot all film? No photoshopping or anything?

Yes. Everything I have posted here is film. I do shoot a 5D on a rare occasion, but really only use it for video. The digital camera I use the most is my iPhone; but none of that is on here.

Everything on here is shot on film, polaroid or instax. The only digital part of the process is scanning in and color correcting the images. Thats it. No effects and not manipulation beyond correction.

Also, as a note, I don’t dislike digital photography. Most of the photographers I admire a lot shoot only digital. I don’t know why I just don’t think I am go at shooting digitally. The aesthetic I enjoy comes through much more on film. Probably just nostalgia.
