Hey dude! I’ve been following your IG and found your tumblr today, love it! I am also a photographer, I’ve been doing journalist photography for about 2 years now, but now that I’ve finished that in college I have been focusing on a more artistic approach. I was curious as to how you find models to shoot? Also does the constant film developing leave a hole in your pocket? Sorry if you have answered these before! Appreciate your work man, thanks!

Hello! Getting started is the most difficult part because that first model is taking a leap of faith to shoot with you. Early on I reached out to models to shoot, and still do, but now a days a lot of time its more collaborative by networking in social networking sites.

Also yes, film is quite expensive and does put a fairly large dent in my pocket every shoot.

How do you like the Nex-7? I am thinking of selling my dSLR for something smaller/more portable. Bad backs can’t carry all that gear around! Have you seen any drawbacks? Tell me every thing you love and hate about it!

I’ve really only shot it a hand full of times so I cant say Ive put it through the ringer that most have. But I liked that I could get about any lens on there and I put some really old lenses on there and did some video and that was fun. I wouldn’t trade my 5D for it personally, Im too embeded with Canon, but its a fun camera thats for damn sure.

I’ve realized why you’re an inspiration to me. Your photography is so unique. It may be of nude models, but it’s not porn. It is so fucking artistic, genius, well done, and unorthodox. Capturing emotion and beauty with an artistic and edgy twist is what sets you apart from hundreds of other photographers shooting nude models. A good photographer will capture subtle glimpses of magic other folk will pass by, and that’s what you do my friend. Cheers!

Well fuck those are all HUGE compliments sir.I always strive to capture emotion or a moment in every shot. Sometimes I pull it off and sometimes not but thank you so much for the compliment. Hopefully I can live up to that high bar!
