Welp it’s almost over. As 2013 fades away I decided I wanted to do a bit of a look back at some of my images we’ve made and do a limited “Black Market” series of shots turned into black and white Polaroids thanks to print lab. Stay tuned for details on the limited collection and check out derekwoods.etsy.com soon to get you hands on your own. Images featuring Hattie Watson, Miss Crash, Cam Damage, and Julie.

I really love your work. Its so refreshing to know that other photographers still enjoy using film. I’d shoot film all the time but I don’t have the cash to back up such a habit :(. So. Favourite camera and why? :)

Hello and thank you so much.

Awe yes the struggle to pay the ever climbing price of film and shoot. Its definitely a rough one I hear ya. Although digital for me just doesn’t have the same magic. Ive started toying more with the idea of how I could create additional components to my work with digital tools, but we shall see if anything comes of that.

If I could only have one camera ever, it would be the Polaroid SX 680. In my opinion its pretty much indisputably the best Polaroid camera ever created and Polaroid is my far my favorite medium. Second, and a VERY close second, camera wise, would be my Leica M6. I never got the Leica thing until I got my M6 and man do I get it now!

Looking for CA based models.

We are starting to plan out some new shoots, new formats and new products for our Etsy store that we are going to be working on this year.

To do that we are looking for models in CA, or models planning to travel through CA.

We’ve already got several shoots in mind, so if we’ve talked, we haven’t forgotten about you, simply looking forward to later in the year.
