in the most non-offensive and serious way how do you make money off of your photography?

I dont. I do make money of prints, but barely. Really I sell prints because I like making them and people asked me to, but really at times I even lose money.

Overall I DEFINITELY lose money. Film, polaroid, instax, developing, equipment and time adds up to LOTS of money. Photography, for me, was never meant to be my business. Photography is what keeps me sane from the other work that I do. If I took paid jobs, shot digital and stopped shooting polaroid then I would make money off prints for sure. But thats not what I want to do with my photography. I want it to be ONLY what I want it to be, so I shoot what I want, how I want and I make my money elsewhere.

This is one of my favorite places to take pictures. Ive stopped and taken a photo hear virtually everytime I drive The Pacific Coast Highway.

One of the first pictures I ever took of Julie was here during our first trips together. This place took on new meaning for me then, as the lines running together seem to feel like the new life Julie and I were starting.
